Made up of members of one family, Etran de l’Aïr has been playing together for more than 25 years, bringing its nomadic music to baptisms, weddings and other gatherings. These committed wedding singers from Niger unleash desert blues that is frenetic, raw and unpretentious. Moving to the same rhythm as artists like Bombino and Tinariwen, the group’s hypnotic melodies place the guitar at the forefront, with strong drums and percussion as a base. An Etran de l’Aïr concert is all about festive music and contagious energy.
